Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Integration Consultant to support a short-term implementation project integrating Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud with Microsoft Project Operations.

The project involves setting up and testing system interfaces between Salesforce and MS Project Operations using Azure Functions as middleware.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interface & Technical Setup

• Design and implement six integration endpoints between Salesforce and MS Project Operations via Azure Functions:
• Four data transfers from Salesforce to MSPO
• Two data transfers from MSPO to Salesforce
• Configure and manage integration for the following objects:
• Opportunity
• Account
• Portfolio (custom object)

2. Data Mapping & Middleware Support

• Define and implement data field mappings between Salesforce and MSPO.
• Work closely with the IT middleware team to ensure correct transformation and transfer logic via Azure Functions.
• Support implementation of meaningful system feedback and structured error messages.

3. Testing & Troubleshooting

• Support integration testing in the test instance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during testing and post-go-live.
• Assist with production deployment after successful validation.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting support during stabilization phase.

4. Salesforce Configuration Adjustments

Perform minor configuration changes within the existing Salesforce environment, including:

• Creating new variables
• Implementing automation flows
• Adding 2–3 additional fields
• Ensuring compatibility with the new interfaces

5. Documentation

• Document:
• Interface architecture and technical logic
• Data mappings
• Error handling mechanisms
• All Salesforce customizations performed
• Provide clear operational documentation for internal IT operations.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Support communication between:
• Sales department
• IT operations team
• IT middleware team
• MS Project Operations implementation partner
• Translate technical requirements into clear implementation steps.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Salesforce Consultant with strong technical configuration expertise.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with Microsoft/Dynamics ecosystems.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• API integrations
• Middleware solutions
• Azure Functions
• Data mapping and transformation
• Experience with Salesforce Unlimited Edition environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and integration testing experience.
• Ability to work independently in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
